Our special spot on the lake..
"The Cottage" sits about in the middle of the eastern shore of the lake. Sunrise makes for a beautiful companion as it comes up over the ridge to shower it’s red and golden rays on the unspoiled western shore. Current deed restrictions prevents the development of the west side of the lake and thus you’ll be looking at nature instead of someone else’s home, docks, rafts, and toys.

"Long Pond" Statistics
Long Pond is a 120 acre lake and is 60 feet at it’s deepest, 10 at it’s shallowest and is home to the brown bullhead, brown trout, large mouth bass, and the Banded Killifish
Loon make there home on the Long Pond and you’ll love their call. The large and glorious Blue Heron are often seen standing majestically on the shore or in flight.
Long Pond is a quiet lake as speed boats for water skiing is allowed between 12:00pm and 3:00pm making it the best of both worlds...

CELL SERVICE & WiFi
AT&T makes you THINK you're on their network because you'll see 5 bars and things will work great. However, you're secretly roaming to the Verizon tower nearby. If you're on a tethering plan for data you'll exceed the agreed allowable bandwidth for data roaming.
Verizon is king of the hill in these parts. 5 bars and full 3g will allow you to create a hot spot with your smart phone, iPhone or iPad. I personally connect my Macbook through my iPad and it's as fast as the WiFi at our favorite Salt Hill Pub or Keene Public Library.
Sprint: While Sprint continues to brag about offering unlimited everything for certainly the best rate, they still fail to provide even good coverage. So if you're Sprint count on roaming to get a signal here.
Wild Blue: This is our first year offering high-speed satellite service for internet. Unfortunately, satellite service does not offer unlimited bandwidth. Our monthly allotment is 7.5gb of bandwidth per month. EACH GUEST IS GIVEN 1.875GB PER WEEK. GUESTS WILL BE CHARGED $10/GB THEREAFTER. PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR HIGHER BANDWIDTH NEEDS. When the bandwidth is met and no additional bandwidth is purchased, it does not get shut down, however, then limit the speed to that allowing one to do email and modest web browsing. We ask our guest to disable online back-up systems to the cloud unless willing to buy the bandwidth to accommodate such cloud services. Streaming Netflix and Hulu is doable but at reduced quality and again costs per GB of bandwidth.
TV: As owners we've always looked at coming to Long Pond as and escape from the norm and to get away from the cacophony of daily news chatter and plain just watching TV. While we provide a nice Flat Screen and DVD player for your enjoyment, we do NOT have a DirecTV account. We have a small selection of DVDs so you should bring what you think you'd like to watch while visiting Long Pond. If you find this objectionable…we'd appreciate knowing.
